BARBARA NELSON

I was inspired to learn this reading method because of our friend, Kyle. When I heard about this program from Janice Ward, I hoped it would be the answer to his reading struggles. The methods used in his school were not teaching him to read, although he is a very bright boy. While in training, I thought of him with everything I learned. I couldn't wait to get back to try this wonderful method with him. Kyle is now in Jr. High.  He is reading well and making good grades. With each student that I take through this course, I feel every bit as pleased as they do with their new-found abilities.

My goal is to help every student reach his or her highest potential. We regularly succeed in teaching reading to students from diverse backgrounds, often with a variety of learning disabilities, even after they have experienced repeated failures with other methods.

I was personally trained by Cliff Ponder (see his video below). In addition to my Santa Cruz practice, I work in San Ramon, California with Janice Ward at Academic Associates- Contra Costa.

GARY NELSON

I have worked as an instructor, technical writer, and technologist with many established and start-up companies in Silicon Valley over the last 25 years.

I am now implementing the on-line learning department, designing promotional materials and I am webmaster for this site.

My vision is to bring the Academic Associates system and Barbara to the Internet, where no matter what their location, anyone can have access to this life changing program.
